About
Cinedreams is exactly what the name suggests but offering much more. Motivated by love for cinema, we dig into our experiences in watching all sorts of films, from the most independent silent films of the 1920s, to mainstream Indian films of today; all films earn an importance of regard such that we can offer an enclave of discussion, understanding, and exploration.
Invoked dreams from cinema notwithstanding, we also cover the ever-important role of television and its formal and aesthetic significance with the moving image. Moreover, but with less influence, is our concern for cultural pretexts that would, in turn, define what we see, whether it be ethnic traditions contributing to how narratives are constructed in a certain country or even the business practices between nations and how that determines distribution and production.
Curiosity drives us and the only way to appease this unstoppable, unflinching force of intoxication is to willfully succumb to it and keep on searching for degrees of truth that may or may not be right in front of us. We may not be able to find all truths, but we are able to find some, and it all starts with the dreams we project onto the silver screen in the gentle darkness of the theatre. We hope you enjoy your time at this site.

The Writers
Dan LaTourette
The Editor-in-Chief of this tiny but enthusiastic site, Dan has been pursuing a Masters in screenwriting having attained a Bachelor's in Film Studies. While he is not mangling, re-writing, and obsessive over the multiple scripts he has completed, Dan is always writing whether it be here, on his gaming studies site, Gaming Engine, or anywhere else that would allow such a reckless writer of words fill their pages with content. Dan is interested in the mode of production for film and television, how something managed to be made at a certain time and, in viewing the work, what effect it has to the viewer within the context it was made. Through this, you not only explore the film, itself, but the world the film inhabited and the impression it made.
Dan also enjoys sports, or as he unnecessarily puts it, "...the showcase of humanity's endowed trait of physical expression." Moreover, he enjoys Ray Bradbury, breakdancing, New Orleans funk and soul, attempting to understand cosmology, Ansel Adams, and even Ninja Warrior.
